Quick Highlights
About Our Services
Massage therapy can ease muscle tension, support circulation, reduce discomfort, improve range of motion, and help with stress relief and rest.
Clear communication helps us tailor your session to your needs. Please tell your provider about any medical conditions, symptoms, injuries, pregnancy, allergies, or session goals so we can provide safe and personalized care.
We offer massage in two formats. One is through our student massage program. The other is provided by massage therapists who hold an active Virginia license.
Student Massage Therapist sessions are part of supervised clinical training. Licensed Massage Therapist sessions are provided by therapists who currently hold a valid state license.
Provider Types, Supervision, and Titles
Student Massage Therapist sessions are performed by students enrolled in our massage therapy education program. These sessions are part of supervised clinical training. Students work under the guidance of licensed massage therapists and approved instructors.
Licensed Massage Therapist sessions are provided by massage therapists who hold an active license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. On our website, the word Graduate may appear. This refers to care delivered by licensed massage therapists.
We only use the terms massage therapist and licensed massage therapist for those who currently hold a valid state license. Students are identified using the title Student Massage Therapist.
Registration and Booking
New clients, as well as returning clients who have not visited in more than 6 months, must complete registration online and book an appointment in advance before receiving services.
Consent, Boundaries, and Session Expectations
Your comfort and consent guide every session. You can ask questions, request changes in pressure, ask to avoid an area, or end the session at any time.
We also reserve the right to stop a session if we believe it is not appropriate or safe to continue.
Massage is focused on therapeutic care. We do not provide sexual services of any kind. Any request for sexual services will end the session immediately and may result in permanent refusal of future service.
Privacy
We treat your personal information and anything you share for your session with care and respect. We use it to support safe and appropriate services and to manage appointments.
We do not sell client information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, and we may disclose information if required by law. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy on our website.
Health, Safety, Draping, and Professional Standards
Please tell us about injuries, recent surgeries, allergies, pregnancy, or any condition that could affect your session.
If you are feeling sick, have a fever, vomiting, contagious symptoms, or a new rash, please reschedule.
If we believe massage is not appropriate due to health or safety concerns, we may postpone or modify the session.
Clients are draped at all times. Only the area being worked on is uncovered. If you have preferences for draping or areas to avoid, please tell your provider before or during the session.
Cancellation, Missed Appointments, and Late Arrival
- Please notify us at least 12 hours in advance if you need to cancel or move your appointment.
- Appointments canceled with less than 12 hours notice, or missed entirely, result in a $40.00 fee.
- Repeat issues may require prepayment or loss of future booking privileges.
- Cancellation and missed appointment fees must be paid before booking another appointment.
- If you arrive late, we will provide the remaining portion of your session and the full service fee will still apply.
- Clients who are more than 15 minutes late without contacting us may be marked absent and charged the corresponding fee.
Conduct and Behavior
Every client is expected to behave in a respectful and professional way at all times. Inappropriate behavior is not accepted.
- Any verbal, physical, or sexual misconduct will lead to the immediate end of the session.
- Providers have the right to stop a session if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
- Serious violations may result in permanent refusal of future service.
Refunds, Packages, Gift Cards, and Certificates
All sales are final. Refunds are not available for completed services, missed appointments, or packages paid in advance.
If there is an issue with your service, please let us know before you leave so we can address it.
Packages and gift card purchases are not refundable and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Gift cards and digital gift certificates are sold in dollar amounts only and can be applied toward services or eligible items at checkout.
Gift cards and digital gift certificates expire 5 years from the date of purchase or issuance. After expiration, any unused value is forfeited.
Please treat gift cards like cash. If one is lost or stolen, replacement may not be possible. If you have proof of purchase and we can verify a remaining balance, we may be able to help, but replacement is not guaranteed.
Gratuities and Payment Methods
Gratuities are welcome and appreciated, but never required. Many clients choose to tip between 15 percent and 20 percent, though the amount is entirely up to you.
You can leave gratuity in cash or request to include it during checkout. One hundred percent of your tip goes directly to your therapist.
We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards. If you are using a gift card or gift certificate, please bring it with you so we can apply it to your balance.
Payment is due at the time of service unless arrangements have been made in advance.
Student Massage and Licensed Massage Sessions
Student Massage Sessions are part of a structured clinical learning environment. These sessions are performed by students under the supervision of licensed instructors.
Student Massage Therapists are available March through June as part of their internship training. A supervisor may quietly enter the room at the start, during, or end of the session to observe or assist the student. This process is discreet and respectful, and your comfort remains a top priority.
While the environment is educational, it is also professional. Students are held to strict standards regarding conduct, technique, and client safety.
Licensed Massage Sessions are conducted by graduates who have completed training and hold a current Virginia license. These sessions allow for more customization and often better suit clients seeking deeper pressure or focused therapeutic work.
If you are unsure which type of session is right for you, we are happy to help during booking.
Minors, Insurance, Accessibility, and Recording
Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the required consent forms before the appointment. A parent or guardian may need to remain on site or in the treatment room depending on age, comfort, and the nature of the session.
We do not bill insurance directly. We can provide an itemized receipt upon request that may be used for insurance reimbursement or HSA or FSA purposes. Please verify eligibility with your insurer in advance.
We are committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience. If you need mobility support or another accommodation, please let us know when booking so arrangements can be made.
Recording or photographing in treatment areas is not allowed unless written permission is given in advance.
