Massage Program Admissions and Enrollment
The admissions process at Advanced Fuller School of Massage is designed to feel clear and supportive. If you are changing careers or starting fresh, our team will guide you through each step so you feel confident and prepared.
Admissions at a Glance
Our program begins every September with daytime and evening options. Evening classes usually begin on the second Monday in September. For attendance requirements, holidays, and expectations, see Program Policies in the Program Catalog.
For Virginia licensure and exam information, see the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards and the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and the Virginia Board of Nursing
How Enrollment Works
Enrollment starts with a Level 1 application and a one on one conversation with leadership. We confirm entry requirements, schedule fit, and tuition options. It is also your chance to ask questions and get a feel for what training is like.
Our admissions staff can talk through coursework, licensure milestones, and the learning environment so you can see how the program prepares you for professional practice.
Who Can Apply
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have a high school diploma. General Educational Development diplomas are not accepted
- You have a genuine interest in massage therapy and holistic wellness
- You can meet the physical demands of massage practice
- You have no felony convictions
- You can set aside about 30 hours per week for class, study, and practice
We look for motivation, professionalism, and readiness to learn in a hands on environment.
Steps to Apply
- Complete the Level 1 application and submit the 100 dollar enrollment application fee. It is refundable only if you are not accepted.
- Provide proof of high school graduation. An official transcript or a copy of your diploma works.
- Interview with the Director or Assistant Director.
- Document two professional massages received in the past six months from licensed providers.
- Finalize enrollment by choosing Day or Evening classes, confirming your start date, reviewing and signing agreements, and selecting a tuition plan.
Is This a Good Fit
Training requires focus, discipline, and openness to hands on learning. During your interview we will review expectations, licensure requirements, and day versus evening tracks. Many students choose this school for supportive instructors, small classes, and supervised practice spaces.
After You Are Accepted
- Confirm your September start date for Day or Evening Level 1
- Choose a tuition payment method
- Order textbooks and bring personal linens for class practice
- Optionally purchase a massage table for home practice
Accessibility and Support
We welcome students from many backgrounds. Reasonable accommodations are available while maintaining the essential skill standards required for professional massage practice. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
Transferability of Credit
Credits from this program are accepted at the sole discretion of the receiving institution. Students should not assume that course hours will transfer.
