Massage therapy instructor job in Virginia Beach
We are looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team as a Massage Therapy Instructor in Virginia Beach. This is a part-time teaching opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students and wants to share real-world experience in a professional training environment.
In this role, you will teach in both classroom and hands-on settings, helping students build the skills, confidence, and habits they need as they prepare for licensure and entry into the field.
This position is scheduled based on program needs and is a good fit for someone who communicates clearly, enjoys mentoring others, and can maintain a focused, respectful learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach massage therapy coursework using the school’s approved curriculum
- Demonstrate techniques and guide students through hands-on practice
- Provide clear feedback on student performance and progress
- Administer quizzes, written work, and practical evaluations
- Track attendance, participation, and overall progress
- Help maintain a professional, structured classroom environment
- Work with staff to support student success and program operations
Qualifications
- Current massage therapy license in good standing
- Completion of a state-approved massage therapy program
- Strong communication skills and a professional teaching presence
- Ability to work well with students at different skill levels
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable in a structured setting
- Professional liability insurance required
Teaching experience is helpful, but the most important qualities are professionalism, reliability, and the ability to guide students clearly and confidently.
