Licensed Massage Therapist
Description
We are currently looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our professional team as an independent contractor. As an independent contractor, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients at our location. Scheduling, supplies, and working conditions are managed in collaboration with our front desk and support staff, while allowing you to retain the flexibility and autonomy of a contractor.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy services based on client needs and preferences
- Conduct thorough consultations prior to each session
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments and manage session timing appropriately
- Recommend appropriate follow-up services when applicable
- Maintain proper licensure, insurance, and continuing education requirements as per Virginia law
- Communicate professionally with front desk staff regarding scheduling and availability
- Respect client confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must hold a current Virginia Massage Therapy License
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Punctual, reliable, and respectful
- Able to maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor
- Comfortable working as part of a team while operating independently
